The 60 degree .5 width worked really well. I look forward in using it with other projects in the near future. It left a smooth cut where sanding or clean out was very simple. Great bit.
I decided to set the beak and flag flush with the black portion. The stripes sit proud of the white and it looks great! Customer support was excellent when I screwed something up and needed another sheet.
Use my first Bamx sheet to make these throw trays for a local fire department.
Cut clean finished well.
Have another project planned for christmas trays with the second sheet I purchased.
Love these smaller end grain Inlay Kits for expanding my inlay skills plus the size is perfect for gifts or presents. Such a huge time savings buying these kits and the larger size Inlay Kits. I get these kits from CIC and they go right to my CNC. As opposed to 2-3 days of gluing, clamping , sawing, planing and sanding. Highly recommend!
Even though this HDPE Color Core is a little pricey it’s wonderful to work with. No staining, painting and very little if any sanding . Perfect for outdoor projects. So actually your money ahead when you take in consideration on the time savings.
excellent file thank you very much for that turned out amazing only had machine few weeks and it was so easy to do shocked me that it turned out so well.
60 degree engraving bit did a great job on the One Ring Poem from The Lord of the Rings engraved on oak.
I also mistakenly drilled six 1/8” holes with a downcut bit … oops. A quick trip to the ultrasonic cleaner and it was good as new.
Love this walnut!!! The detail on these plaques is amazing. My client in Oregon runs the 3rd LAR Wolfpack Association and it stoked to get these plaques for their annual reunion.
I am not a fan of the BamX material. That center bamboo is hard and I broke off two of the screw heads when going into the seat. Had to redrill and go in a little lower. Had to sand where the pieces fit together to make them fit. No wonder the company is called Cutting it close LOL and the splinters from the walnut looking material were hard to see once they were in the skin. However, the project worked out and my wife loved it that she took possession of the rocking chair. Do not even think that it was me having a second hobby of sewing fabric animals together it was my wife. LOL CIC continue putting the projects out there and I'll probably continue to buy. Thanks!
Getting the inlay board kits are such a time and money saving investment. Being in southern Florida hardwoods are hard to fine. So I would order online or pick up rough saw wood. Now I’m looking at planing, sawing, gluing and clamping. If I’m going with end grain inlay more sawing, glueing, clamping, planing and sanding. Where as when I get the inlay kit from CIC the wood can go right on cnc for carving. Bottom line: I’m looking at a 4 day project if I get my rough sawn wood where as with CIC inlay kits my project is the inlay press (CIC download) in one day. Highly recommend CIC Inlay Kits.
These brass feet simply elevate this board from nice to elegant! Worth every penny and they are quite inexpensive really so well worth buying. Thanks CIC, I’ll be back for more soon!
My wife converted our garage to a small store, and wanted a small sign for the window. Only had a few days to get it done, no time for sealing, priming , painting, and topcoating wood. Have been wanting to try HDPE for almost a year, and tis seemed to be the perfect opportunity to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. it cut well, and not a whole lot to clean up after cutting. I was surprised by how heavy it was, but I was very impressed with it.
This kit came well packaged with everything needed. It was fairly low on the difficulty scale, after watching the YouTube video. Grand-kids think I am a CNC guru!
My first (and second due to user error) inlay. I’m new to CNC but I’ve been studying for the past several years at YouTube University and have watched every V-Carve video out there.
