Upgrade your shop with plywood that’s built to handle real work—not just look good on a shelf.
Our Phenolic Birch Hex Ply combines the strength of a solid birch core with a tough, wear-resistant phenolic coating, giving you a material that holds up under pressure, cuts clean on a CNC, and lasts project after project.
Whether you're building jigs, shop fixtures, signs, or production parts, this is the plywood you reach for when standard sheets fall short.
Why This Material Stands Out
Built for Durability Each sheet is made from a high-quality birch core and bonded with exterior-grade adhesive, then finished with a rugged phenolic coating that resists moisture, wear, and abuse.
Two Functional Surfaces One side features a hex-pattern texture for added grip, while the other offers a smooth, clean finish—giving you flexibility depending on your application.
CNC Ready Cuts clean, holds detail, and stays stable. Perfect for CNC users looking for consistency across projects without fighting material issues.
Made for Real Shop Use Ideal for jigs, fixtures, work surfaces, templates, signs, and any application where durability actually matters.
Material Disclaimer All panels are inspected and leave our shop flat and free of cracks or splits. Because this is a real wood product, minor movement can occur depending on storage conditions, humidity, and environment. To ensure the best results, store panels flat in a controlled environment until use.If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos so we can make it right.
2 panel glue up to make a 22” diameter 3D relief carving. CIC bits made this project a breeze. Already making plans for the next project - a 24” x 36” world topographic map.
Used Carveco Maker and my Onefinity to cut this design out. Worked like a champ. I’ve used the press several times now in the shop. I’ve decided that I’ll probably never take it apart for storage, so I may end up glueing the pieces together. Very happy with the results.
This was my first ever cnc experience. This took me 4 tries to get the tool path correct. But thats on me. Not the file. Super pleased with the results to use as a wall hanger and hit the ground running! Thanks to cic and the videos yall produce! Without them I'd never had known how cool woodwork is. I'm a 15 year experience metal machinst. Thanks guys!
This was my first TBN inlay using this CIC bit and couldn’t be happier with the result. If CIC isn’t your go to spot for bits and other CNC necessities you’re missing out. Thanks again to Ryan and the whole team 👏🏻
A friend asked for this unique take on the Lord's Prayer. The hard Maple panels I purchase from CIC are the perfect fit for this one. Carving came out very clean using a 30 degree v-bit and a 1/8" downcut clearing bit. Couldn't be happier with this one!
I have to say the BamX is great to work with. The files were complete and easy to use. I did make a small change on the screws. I found the supplied screws stood a little proud and could possibly scratch a surface so I got some panhead screws and countersunk them into the plastic. The price of the kit was more than reasonable. I am going to try to sell these at my next craft show.
Thank you Ryan for developing this process and putting the files together. I started with the 250 emblem and was asked to do a marine corps and a special forces flag. I enjoy making them and my friends love them.

Product was great and exactly how it was described. Only reason it wasn’t a 5 star was the slow delivery. I will definitely order again and just plan accordingly on the delivery times.
It was not one of the designs in the kit , but the kit and Slim helped me work through the piece. It was really fun and I plan to do another one. The bits are great that you have. Thanks for your help.
Love BamX. Using the router to get two different colors is great, and the hardness of the bamboo make for really clean cuts. I wish is came a little thicker. Even just another eighth of an inch to 7/8" would make the catch all trays and serving dishes 25% deeper.
Here is a custom board I made for a client who wanted to say a special thank you for the treatment he received from his doctor. Since they had developed a special relationship, he has able to find out some of his hobbies: playing the guitar and surfing. I used the CIC 12x18 maple and walnut inlay kit and made it unique. Everyone was thrilled with the outcome!
Used this tapered ballnose as well as 1/4" and 1/8" ball end mills to shape these vase holders. Worked very well, with great detail on the spiral design. Highly recommend!
Used a section of the cherry panel to make an inlay for a retirement flag. I use the oramask stencil tape to carve and paint the design. Carve a flag with inlay section 0.3 deep. The cherry is thinned to 0.6. Poured blue and gold epoxy. The flag is 13x25x0.75
