What a great project. I went in person and picked this up along with some other wood from DW Hardwoods. The file is well laid out with good instructions. It is easy to edit for your favorite team. It takes about 3 days total because of the epoxy cure time but only about a hour of cutting. Finished with Osmo. I give away all my projects so my friends are thrilled. ShopSabre 23 and Vectric VCarve pro were used to cut it out.
First time working with BamX. Absolutely loved it. Already have a couple more ideas to utilize this material. Highly recommend BamX and CIC for all your CNC needs.
I’ve been using your bits and various materials to craft CNC projects for the past several months. I also pick up great tips each week on your channel. First class operation. Keep up the good work!
I love the product, this is my third inlay board I have created for friends and each one the quality improves with CIC cutters and inlay boards. The orders keep coming in and they’re fun to make.
I loved building this kit and it turned out absolutely amazing! I bought two and will build the other one later this week, and bought two more a couple days ago. Also gonna try my hand with the inlay kits, which are on order. I'm cutting on a Shapeoko 5 Pro, my first CNC, and have only had it about a month now. Shopping to add a laser to the Shapeoko and will be ordering this week. I'm hooked, and Ryan's videos and encouragement are a big part of my success.
This kit was amazing. My first inlaid cutting board, and I think it turned out awesome! Thank you CIC for giving me the tools, materials, and the confidence to make such an amazing piece of functional art.
O flutes worked great. I used them to cut 6061 Aluminum plate for plaques to commemorate a watch making class I’m taking. The Aluminum one will go to the sponsor and the wood one will be given by raffle to another class member. Thanks!
2 panel glue up to make a 22” diameter 3D relief carving. CIC bits made this project a breeze. Already making plans for the next project - a 24” x 36” world topographic map.
Used Carveco Maker and my Onefinity to cut this design out. Worked like a champ. I’ve used the press several times now in the shop. I’ve decided that I’ll probably never take it apart for storage, so I may end up glueing the pieces together. Very happy with the results.
This was my first ever cnc experience. This took me 4 tries to get the tool path correct. But thats on me. Not the file. Super pleased with the results to use as a wall hanger and hit the ground running! Thanks to cic and the videos yall produce! Without them I'd never had known how cool woodwork is. I'm a 15 year experience metal machinst. Thanks guys!
This was my first TBN inlay using this CIC bit and couldn’t be happier with the result. If CIC isn’t your go to spot for bits and other CNC necessities you’re missing out. Thanks again to Ryan and the whole team 👏🏻
A friend asked for this unique take on the Lord's Prayer. The hard Maple panels I purchase from CIC are the perfect fit for this one. Carving came out very clean using a 30 degree v-bit and a 1/8" downcut clearing bit. Couldn't be happier with this one!
I have to say the BamX is great to work with. The files were complete and easy to use. I did make a small change on the screws. I found the supplied screws stood a little proud and could possibly scratch a surface so I got some panhead screws and countersunk them into the plastic. The price of the kit was more than reasonable. I am going to try to sell these at my next craft show.
Thank you Ryan for developing this process and putting the files together. I started with the 250 emblem and was asked to do a marine corps and a special forces flag. I enjoy making them and my friends love them.
